Our Vision for Learn

Education in Arabic, built to the highest standard in the world.

Learn is our first product at Five. This page is the long version of why we are building it.

The Belief

We started Five with a simple belief: great software can be built from Saudi Arabia for the world.

Learn is where we are proving it first.

For a long time, the best learning products in the world were not built for Arabic speakers. They were translated, localized, adapted. Useful, but never made for us. We grew up studying around that gap. So did everyone we know.

Learn exists to close it.

Today

Learn is an Arabic-first tutoring marketplace. Students find private tutors, book sessions, and learn live over video, on iOS, Android, and the web.

Every part of it is built in-house. The video classroom, the whiteboard, the payments, the scheduling. We control the experience end to end because that is the only way to make something that actually feels good to use.

We are not trying to be the biggest tutoring platform in the region. We are trying to be the one students actually love.

Where We Are Going

Tutoring is the beginning, not the end.

The students using Learn today need more than one-on-one sessions. They need practice tools that prepare them for the Qudurat, the Tahsili, the SAT. They need a place to learn alongside other students, not alone. They need teachers and courses that go deeper than a single session.

So we are building those next. A practice and exam system. A community where students learn together. Structured courses for the subjects that matter most.

Step by step, Learn becomes the place where a student in Saudi Arabia can go from their first question to their final exam, in Arabic, on a product that was made for them.

Vision 2030

Saudi Vision 2030 set a national direction we believe in. A diversified economy. A digital economy. World-class education. A strong private sector. Human capability built for the future.

Learn contributes to that direction in concrete ways:

Human Capability Development. Every session on Learn is a student getting better at something they care about. Math, physics, languages, exam preparation. The work of preparing the next generation happens one tutor and one student at a time, and we are building the infrastructure that makes it possible at scale.

A Digital Economy. Learn runs on Saudi infrastructure, processes payments through Saudi providers, and is operated by a Saudi company. The full stack lives here. The tax base, the jobs, and the intellectual property stay in the country.

Empowering Saudi Talent. Tutors on Learn earn income from their expertise. Many are university students, recent graduates, and educators building careers around teaching. We give them the tools, the audience, and the payments infrastructure to turn what they know into a livelihood.

A Globally Competitive Product. Vision 2030 calls for Saudi companies that compete internationally. We are building Learn to that standard from day one. Not a product that is good for the region. A product that is good, full stop, and happens to be from here.

The Long View

Building a great product takes longer than building a fast one. We have chosen the longer path.

We write our own code. We host our own infrastructure. We answer our own support messages. We talk to students and tutors every week. Nothing about Learn is outsourced, because the things you outsource are the things you stop caring about.

Learn will get better every month for as long as we are running it. That is the only promise worth making.

The Close

Saudi Arabia is at a moment where what gets built now will define what the country looks like in twenty years.

We want Learn to be one of the things that gets pointed to. Not because it was the biggest, but because it was made with care, and because students who used it actually learned.

That is the vision. We are building toward it every day.
